Low Testosterone Signs & Symptoms

First off, let’s discuss the difference between symptoms of low testosterone in men verses signs of low testosterone in men. A symptom is something you feel. A sign is something you see. According to the Mayo Clinic, the following are the most common symptoms of low testosterone (also know as male hypogonadism).

  • Fatigue or low energy
  • Decreased sex drive
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Hot flashes (like women get during menopause)

As you remember, a sign of low testosterone is something you or someone else can see. Per the Mayo Clinic, for “low T” these include:

  • Erectile dysfunction (that may not be responsive to erectile dysfunction drugs)
  • Infertility
  • Decrease in beard and body hair growth
  • Decrease in muscle mass
  • Development of breast tissue (gynecomastia)
  • Loss of bone mass (osteoporosis)
  • Fatigue

If you have some or all of the low testosterone symptoms and low testosterone signs, it may be important for you to get testosterone tests done.
